SCONUL Access Scheme

This has replaced the SCONUL Research Extra (SRX) and UK Libraries Plus (UKLP) Schemes.

This offers:

  1. access to 170+ libraries (and constantly growing)
  2. Coverage of all parts of England Scotland Wales and, for the first time, Ireland
  3. Borrowing access for staff, researchers, taught postgraduates, part-time, distance learning (DL) and placement students
  4. Reference access for full-time undergraduates
  5. No limit to the number of libraries a user can join
  6. One simple procedure for joining

Your rights at each library depend on which band you fall into:

To check whether a university library you want to use is a member please see the (External) SCONUL Members page . You can also download the (External) application form from the site. Completed forms should be handed in at the J.B. Priestley Library Welcome Desk or posted to:

Att: Sophie North

It includes links to the Web sites of almost all of the member libraries, so that you can check opening hours, collection strengths, etc. Admission is by student card .
