A Career in Archaeology

Archaeology event - You are what you ate (JPEG, 22KB)

What is archaeology?

Archaeology is a broadly-based discipline that uses material evidence to gain insights into earlier societies. For that, archaeologists need experience in many different fields of study.

Why study archaeology at Bradford?

At Bradford you will find that archaeology is global in its scope.

It is at the cutting edge of research as frequent press, radio and television reports testify. But, our concern is also about the next generation of archaeologists, which means that we focus on both the practical and intellectual skills needed when you apply for jobs.

Bradford has an excellent employment record especially for students doing the placement year, and we are one of the leading universities for students obtaining employment within six months of graduation.
