Class of 2001 Reunion

The School hosted a successful reunion event in September 2011 for alumni who graduated in 2001. A few alumni got together on the Friday evening for a curry at one of Bradford's leading restaurants but the main activities took place on Saturday 17 September. The day began with a guest lecture by Professor Stuart Sanderson titled "Are the strategies from 2001 still current?", this was followed by a tour of the School including the new build and then alumni and guests went for a walk in the Dales. The proceedings were wrapped up with a dinner at Heaton Mount in the evening and the event proved to be a great success according to those that attended.

Andy Wolrich, MBA Alumni, was one of the key people behind getting this idea off the ground and was very pleased about how the event turned out;

"I was quite nervous in the days before the reunion as so many people had put themselves out, travelled such a long way and spent a lot of money getting to Bradford. I needn't have worried, as it was like going back in time to a happy place. Everyone got on again very easily, and Stuart's lecture was entertaining, informative and insightful. The old dog has not lost a trick or two. Some benefit will surely come from renewing old contacts and this is what the Alumni is all about. The transformation of the School campus was amazing compared to only 10 years ago and we were left a little jealous and impressed by the regeneration. Thanks are due to Lorraine, Jonaid and the team for supporting Camelia's brainwave so well - we all agreed that we would come to the School’s 50th Anniversary in 2013 when hopefully more of the group would be able to make it. One last thought for our fellow MBA alumni Chris Wightman who has sadly passed away. Our thoughts are with you and your family. We would have really enjoyed seeing u again."
