    The central Learner Development Unit (LDU) at the University of Bradford has collected a range of learning support sites that are well-regarded by Effective Learning Service and Study Skills practitioners around Britain and elsewhere. 



    LearnHigher web photo

    The aim of (External) LearnHigher Website is to give all students studying at or with a UK university an overview on referencing generally, advice on avoiding plagiarism, plus information and examples of the main referencing styles found in Britain. The site also contains four interactive exercises.

    The site is part of a UK government funded LearnHigher project, which involves 16 partnership universities, and all are working together to produce learning support resources for students and academic staff.

    At the start of 2007 the Effective Learning Service launched a website on  (External) referencing .

    PrepareForSuccess web photo  


    (External) Prepare For Success  is an interactive web learning tool primarily  for international students  whoes first language is not English with an IELTS level between 5.5 and 7.5 or equivalent.  

    It is activity-based with an aim to help students understand different elements in studying in the UK higher education in comparison to their previous educational experience.
