    In-Company Projects

In-Company Projects - Two men working together As part of their MBA or MSc programmes, our postgraduate students are required to produce a research based management projects/dissertation. Many of these can be focused on helping individual organizations to solve a specific problem or issue or develop an opportunity.

Projects are developed between May and August and a final report of 12,500 - 15,000 words is submitted for assessment by the end of September. Students usually conclude by presenting their findings to the company/organization in a formal presentation.

    How the Organization benefits?

    What does it cost?

NOTHING but most organizations readily pay the student for a piece of high-quality consultancy. The student and the organization negotiate and agree fees. Organizations are also expected to pay all out-of-pocket expenses such as travel and research materials.

    How does it work?

We expect a sponsoring organization to submit an outline project proposal by mid January. In this way we can source and agree on a particular student well in time for work to commence in May.

Proposal forms (Word format) can be downloaded and printed by clicking on this link.
Once we have received your proposal form, we will co-ordinate the application process for the recruitment of a suitable student. We can also arrange for you to interview candidates at the School of Management. Once you have selected a suitable student, he or she will meet you to develop the project brief. At this stage the academic supervisor will be appointed to provide advice and support on what can be realistically achieved in the timeframe.
