Attendance requirements for executive modular MBA

Each module is accompanied by approximately 30 hours of classroom based lectures and tutorials at the AIS facility in Makati city. 10 of the 14 modules will be taught by Bradford School of Management faculty. For these modules students will be expected to attend an intensive block of teaching (typically running over 2 evenings then all day Saturday and Sunday - or - 3 full days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)). Following the intensive block teaching students will be required to attend 4 tutorial sessions run by local faculty, putting into practice the lessons learnt during the intensive study period.

4 of the 14 modules will be taught by local faculty. In this case students are expected to attend 9 three - four hour lecture and tutorial sessions over the course of 9 weeks.

Students can chose to study up to 3 modules (each running over 3-5 days) at the School of Management or at any one of our partner institutions in the Netherlands, Germany, Singapore, Hong Kong and Dubai all for no extra cost (other than travel and subsistence costs).

Compulsory Cycle 1 modules for the executive modular MBA

At the start of your studies you will be required to attend an induction programme at the AIS facility in Makati city. The induction programme will typically run over 2 evenings or on a single Saturday afternoon.

Following on from the induction, in order to provide you with a solid foundation you will study 10 compulsory modules covering key business and managerial disciplines:

    Business Economics
    Business Accounting
    Operations Management
    Marketing Management
    Managing People
    Managerial and Professional Development
    Business Research
    Business Ethics and Sustainability
    Corporate Finance
    Strategic Management

Elective Cycle 2 modules for the executive modular MBA

Once you have gained the required managerial skills and knowledge during Cycle 1 of your studies you will then be required to complete 4 Cycle 2 modules.

    Project Management
    International Financial Management
    Entrepreneurship
Managing International Business in Emerging Economies

If you decide to study a Cycle 2 module(s) at Bradford or at a partner institute a number of alternative modules will be available (e.g. Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Marketing)

    Assessment

Your knowledge and understanding of each subject area studied will be assessed by the most appropriate means. This will typically involve the completion of a written assignment, an exam or in some cases an assignment and an exam. Exams will take place at the AIS facility in Makati city. If you are unable to sit an exam in Manila (e.g. you are away on business) we have over 50 examination centres worldwide, making it likely that you can sit the exam wherever you are.

Entry requirements for the executive modular MBA

A degree from an approved university: UK degree minimum 2:2 (honours); European degree gross percentile average (GPA) of 2.5 out of 4.0 or 6.5 out of 10, or overall average of 70 from 100 per cent or an acceptable professional qualification (e.g. ACCA).

GMAT of 600+. If you do not have a GMAT of 600+ you will be asked to take the Bradford Test - a short online exercise to assess your numerical and verbal reasoning.

At least 3 years' relevant postgraduate work experience

Given that the MBA requires you to convey complex theories and ideas we may request evidence of proficiency in English. This evidence is usually in the form of a 6.5 score on IELTS test of English, 580 in written TOEFL, 240 in computer-based TOEFL or 94 or better in the internet-based TOEFL. We may also consider alternative evidence demonstrating proficiency in English.

It may be the case that you are a highly motivated applicant with a proven track record and a wealth of highly relevant work experience but you do not have the required academic qualifications. If this is the case you may still be eligible for the MBA and as such you are encouraged to proceed with your application.
