Find out about our Financial Planning Degree, launched in response to meet the changes in the market place from the RDR
Pitch for a student to work for you over summer to ensure you are at the forefront of securing market ready graduates of the future
Meet our students who are keen to explore a career with an IFA; some of whom will graduate with a BSc (Hons) in Financial Planning, a compulsory work experience year and will be exempt from 5 of the 6 units of the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.

Kath McKenna, Operations Manager and Chartered Financial Planner at Pearson Jones plc, who took two interns summer 2011, says: “Pearson Jones feel this degree will have a big impact on the financial services sector in the West Yorkshire area. The fact that students will exit the course and be almost fully qualified to give financial advice will give anyone wishing to enter this industry a massive boost.”

Format for the day

2.00 – 2.15pm: Arrival and settle in
2.15 – 2.30pm: Introduction
2.30 – 2.45pm: Find out more about the Financial Planning Degree
2.45 – 3.45pm: Companies pitch internship opportunities
3.45 – 4.00pm: Break
4.00 – 6.00pm: Speed networking event: meet the students interested in pursuing a career with an IFA and identify suitable candidates for your company’s summer internship.
