University Hosts High Level Delegation Visit from Nigeria

New Collaboration Between Bradford and Yola, Nigeria 

 


Professor Raed Abd-Alhameed, Director of Mobile and Communications Research Centre and Leader of the Communications Research Group recently hosted a high delegation visit to the University of Bradford from the Federal University of Technology, Yola , Nigeria .

 

Three senior officials attended the University of Bradford during the week long visit,  namely; Senator L.G. Guba, Chairman of the G overning Council, their Vice- Chancellor, Professor B. H. Usman and the Registrar, Mr. A. U. Wurochekke.   

 

“We are hoping to establish joint research programmes and conferences between our two universities, together with staff and student exchanges and joint PhD programmes including the use of available university resources and training courses.  This is a very exciting opportunity for both institutions to work together.” Said Professor Abd-Alhameed.

 

The aim of the visit was to discuss a collaborative partnership with the University of Bradford,  the Nigerian delegation met with senior staff from several areas of the University including, Engineering, Design and Technology, Pharmaceutical Sciences and Informatics.   

 

The visit was facilitated by Heaton Education which has established a good relationship with the School of Engineering , Design and Technology.
