What are the nearest tourist attractions?
Ilkley moor and the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales national park are thirty minutes by train from the city centre, while the Victorian model village of Saltaire, a UN designated world heritage site, is only 20 minutes away. The City also hosts the National Media Museum, Film and Television. Other notable visitor attractions include the David Hockney gallery in Shipley and the Brönte museum in Haworth .

Individual visitors are always welcome to let you get a 'feel' for the University and student life and to help you decide whether Bradford is the right place for you.

What facilities are available for teaching and research?
The School and the university have made significant investment in recent years to ensure that our teaching facilities are fit to meet the demands of the 21 st century. The majority of lecture theatres have overhead LCD projector facilities, microphones and are air-conditioned. The School has recently invested in the region of £2M on the establishment of state-of-the-art computer laboratories. In terms of research facilities, the School hosts the Mobile and Satellite Communications Research Centre, the Ford Design Suite and the Interdisciplinary Research Centre in Polymer Science and Technology. In addition, the University has a well-resourced library where students can find the most up-to-date references including textbooks and on-line journals that are relevant to their courses.

We have just fewer than sixty full-time academic staff.
