Suitably qualified candidates (first class or 2i degree in the social sciences and humanities) interested in full-time Doctoral research are encouraged to apply for a bursary award that will be available from October 2010 in the School of Social and International Studies. For reference to the research interests and activities of the School see ( http://www.brad.ac.uk/acad/ssis/research/ ). It is anticipated that the successful applicants will have an interest in one of the following fields: Development Studies; Economics; History; Peace Studies; Philosophy; Psychology; Social Theory; Social Care and Social Work. Subject to satisfactory progress the award will be available for three years of study. The award is restricted to new UK Home students only.
Applicants should send a research proposal (maximum 1,000 words), CV and names of two academic referees to peace-ma-admissions@bradford.ac.uk or M.E.Mozley, School of Social and International Studies, University of Bradford, Richmond Road, Bradford, BD71DP.
The awards are allocated competitively and applications must be received by 1st February, 2010.
