Giving a presentation can be one of the most daunting experiences you are asked to face. Many people rank public speaking as more nervewracking than getting married or buying a house. Therefore developing confidence in designing and delivering effective presentations is essential.
The University of Bradford is part of the (External) LearnHigher CETL (Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching) which aims to develop excellent resources to help with skills development. The (External) University of Brunel has developed a series of excellent exercises and resources aimed at helping you to develop your oral communication skills. The website contains useful hints and tips on how to communicate effectively in a number of situations including designing and delivering presentations and during seminars.
