A typical day

The Bradford University School of Management Executive Education learning experience is an interactive, engaging, and inspiring one. Gone are the days of dry lectures and static classrooms, we believe in learning by doing - making knowledge work.

A typical teaching day includes:

• Three or four interactive lectures , each lasting around 40 minutes. Here we impart the key concepts needed to understand the particular course objectives. We tend not to lecture in the traditional sense, preferring a more interactive, question and answer style, supported by detailed printed handouts.
  
• Two or three group exercises . We divide delegates into groups, normally of between four and six people. Exercises can include financial evaluation; identification of marketing trends; role playing and case study analysis. Presentations of findings/analysis are usually made, with verbal feedback from the course tutor.
  
• Film examples bring to life many of the concepts being studied.

Courses tend to be split between our seminar theatres and break out rooms, both of which have computers and internet access. They are bright and airy, with lots of natural light and fresh air.

We understand that an intensive course day requires regular sustenance breaks! Morning coffee and scones, a buffet lunch, and afternoon tea and cakes, all in beautiful surroundings, ideal for networking, ensure that delegates have their energy levels constantly refreshed!

At the end of each course, delegates complete a quick evaluation to ensure individual objectives are met.
