Our philosophy
Integrated education
We are great believers in integrated learning. Today's leaders need to demonstrate an understanding, not only of their powers of motivation and inspiration, but also of the environment in which they compete and the challenges they face. We work with clients on specific management challenges and very much promote the concept of successful leaders being confident in all parts of the organizations in which they operate.
Our Six Key Principles
Everything we do is aimed at improving the skills of managers and the performance of the organizations for which they work. Our delivery is guided by our Executive Education operating philosophy - our Six Key Principles:

- Although we are a school with an enviable research reputation, we know that a key strength is that of our
teaching - increasing the knowledge of the managers who visit us
. Our slogan "Making Knowledge Work" reflects our heritage in a region where decision making is considered more important than endless discussion.

- We can draw on a knowledge pool of some 100 academics and business practitioners. This means that the tutors we use on our programmes have
a wide, combined experience
and constantly expose delegates to cutting edge, yet practically applicable ideas, concepts and perspectives.

in the work environment. We recognise that giving up even one working day is a significant investment in time. Our tutors ensure that each day spent with us is a worthwhile investment, and that no delegate leaves wishing they had spent the time on "normal business".

Flexible Delivery
- We are able to
pitch our delivery at the appropriate level
for managers working in large or small organizations, for junior, middle or senior managers, for national or international audiences. We prefer plain English to jargon and do not talk in "business speak".

customised to the individual requirements of our delegates
. We understand that delivering a programme to ambitious managers has its own special requirements and that individuals learn differently - hence flexible learning including group work, videos, lectures, role plays, case studies and business simulations.

- Whilst our key focus must be on the delegate managers,
we never forget the actual
client
who will want their programme to run smoothly, with information produced in a timely manner and all arrangements clearly understood. We believe in real customer focus, and a dedicated administrator is appointed to ensure a problem free, successful programme.
