MBA Montage
Completion of an on site induction (September and January) or on line induction. Following on from the induction, in order to provide you with a solid foundation you will study ten compulsory modules covering key business and managerial disciplines:
Business EconomicsOnce you have gained the required managerial skills and knowledge during Cycle 1 of your studies you will then be required to complete four Cycle 2 modules. There are a total of nine Cycle 2 modules to choose from for those studying purely by distance learning, these are:
Marketing Communications
International Business Strategy
Project Management
International Financial Management
Management of Change
Entrepreneurship
Managing International Business in Emerging Economies
Management Leadership
E-Business
If you decide to study a Cycle 2 module(s) at Bradford or at a partner institute a number of alternative modules will be available (e.g. Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Marketing)
A degree from an approved university: UK degree minimum 2:2 (honours); European degree gross percentile average (GPA) of 2.5 out of 4.0 or 6.5 out of 10, or overall average of 70 from 100 per cent or an acceptable professional qualification.
At least three years' relevant postgraduate work experience
Proficiency in English - a 6.5 score on IELTS test of English, 580 in written TOEFL, 240 in computer-based TOEFL or 94 or better in the internet-based TOEFL are needed from non-native speakers. Under exceptional circumstances alternative evidence demonstrating proficiency in English will be accepted.
Onceyouhavebeenacceptedontotheprogrammeandhavestartedyourstudiesyouwillberequiredtocompleteaashortonlineexercisetohelpassesscriticalthinkingandnumericalreasoning(theBradfordTest). ApplicantswithaGMATof600+ attainedinthelasttwoyearsdonothavetotaketheBradfordTest.
It may be the case that you are a highly motivated applicant with a proven track record and a wealth of highly relevant work experience but you do not have the required academic qualifications. If this is the case you may well still be eligible for the MBA and as such you are encouraged to proceed with your application.
The Bradford University School of Management distance learning MBA is accredited by The Associations of MBAs (AMBA) and The European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) and it is in the Financial Times list of the world's top 100 MBAs. Given the programme's high quality and outstanding reputation the fee represents real value for money.
The fee for the distance learning MBA in the 2010/2011 academic year is £11,500 and is paid via instalments. For the academic year 2011/12 the fee is £12,950.
The fees cover: module specific study books, module textbooks, module tutor support, complete access to all on-line resources, effective learning support, careers support, attendance at up to 3 block electives at the School of Management or a partner institution, project supervision.
The fees do not include: travel and subsistence expenses (e.g. accommodation and meals) incurred if you travel to the School of Management or any of our partner institutes for a block module (or for other reasons), overseas examination arrangements, general administrative expenses (e.g. stationary, telephone calls, internet access, additional books).
Bradford University School of Management administers its distance learning MBA alongside a partner organization called RDI (Resource Development International). RDI are responsible for the initial stages of student application and admission onto the Bradford Distance- learning MBA in some territories, namely Europe, Russia and CIS states, USA, Canada, the Caribbean (excluding Trinidad), Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Uganda and Mauritius.
