Pharmacy student attends Business Awards

Pharmacy student Sarah Mapes made the final eight nominees in the Unichem Young Pharmacist Business Awards, in Birmingham.

Sarah said that reaching the top eight finalists was a great boost for her confidence for a career in Pharmacy. She is currently doing her pre-registration training at Moss Pharmacy, who are 'delighted with her progress'.

The competition was open to all pre-registration students and pharmacists who had qualified in the past five years.The contestants had to produce an essay explaining their perception of pharmacy in the year 2020.

Although Sarah didn't win she said she had a 'fantastic presentation evening'.

The guests were invited to a five-course meal and listen to a band who were flown in from the USA. An auction held at the presentation raised £15,000 for charity.
