NVQ Co-ordinator Retires

NVQ Co-ordinator Lorna Noble has retired from the University - but not before presenting Vicki Selway, of the School of Health Studies, and Lynne Lightowler, of Archaeological Sciences, with their 'Using IT Level 2' certificates.

Lorna paid tribute to their hard work in times of adversity as Vicki had endured several health problems, and Lynne had overcome very limited access to IT in her working environment.

As a consequence of Lorna's retirement, the assessment centre for Assessor and Verifier awards has transferred to Learning Support Services.

IT NVQ Co-ordinator Cath Hooson said: "Feedback from candidates regarding the NVQ workshop input sessions has been positive and we have seen an increase in attendance this year."

The 'Using IT' NVQs and 'Assessor and Verifier' awards were recently given top marks for Candidate Support, Quality of Assessment and Internal Verification by the External Verifier.

Anyone interested in IT NVQs or Assessor and Verifier awards should telephone 23(3320) or email training@bradford.ac.uk
