Student Praise

One of the world's most leading academics recently took time out to answer questions posed by Peace Studies students and staff.

Noam Chomsky is known for his groundbreaking analysis and for his talent in contrasting the rhetoric of the world's powerful with their deeds.

His detailed answers to 10 questions featured in May's edition of the student magazine, Peace Times.

Head of Department Dr Shaun Gregory said: "It is very encouraging indeed for enthusiastic young Peace Studies students to find that a long established exemplar and inspiration in the field sees the importance - and retains the freshness and energy to do this."

Student Alexander Van der Biest said: "It was very unexpected. Although we wrote to him we did not expect him to respond, but it was amazing that he did."
