Problem Based Learning Symposium

Aims: Target audience:Lecturing staff interested in active and collaborative learning.

Would you like to use Problem Based Learning (PBL) in your teaching?

Since 2000 the midwifery team has developed a wealth of experience using PBL to deliver a very successful under- graduate curriculum.Two interactive workshops are being offered to provide insight into the PBL process and to develop facilitation skills for effective PBL.

Workshop 1 will provide the opportunity to actively engage in the PBL process.Delegates will explore a purposely designed enigma through the PBL stages.

Workshop 2 will explore facilitation skills and will engage delegates in the process of enigma design and facilitator guide development.
