Design lecturer Kate Johnson shows narrative art piece in 'Not just Hockney' exhibition
Kate Johnson, Lecturer in Design at the School of Engineering and Informatics, is having her work shown on Bradford’s big screen this month as part of the Not Just Hockney exhibition.
Kate is a professional painter and sculptor. Her recent art pieces involve collaboration with a number of disciplines at the University.
Her latest work, ‘Project code-named Humpty’, is a narrative art piece which delves into the nature of being human, as well as acting as a vehicle for scientific and technological enquiry.
It will be shown as part of the Not Just Hockney exhibition, which gives local artists the opportunity to share their work in the heart of the city centre, on the big screen in City Park. You can watch the Not Just Hockney series on the screen at 12:30 every day, or view online.
