Escalate Employer Engagement Seminar Series
Institutional learning is an important part of the Escalate programme. In order to embed employer engagement activities we have developed a programme of seminars on the employer engagement work of each of the academic schools.
The seminars have been designed as dissemination workshops to enable sharing of 'work in progress' across academic schools, and to provide opportunities for academic discussion around common issues and educational development.
The seminar series has been an important tool in enabling Escalate to:-
- provide institution wide insight into school projects
- demonstrate and develop good practice
- encourage project review and evaluation
- elicit feedback and advice
- promote the sense of a 'community of practice'
The seminars to date have covered employer engagement activities in Management; Social and International Studies; Computing, Informatics and Media; Lifelong Education and Development; and Engineering, Design and Technology. Summaries of these are presented below.
- School of Engineering, Design & Technology presentation
- School of Lifelong Education & Development presentation
- School of Management presentation
- School of Social & International Studies presentation
- Input from School of Computing, Informatics & Media, School of Health Studies
- Escalate Champions workshop July 2010
