Practice Workshop: Accreditation of In-Company Training

On Friday 8 May 2009 Escalate held the first of its 'Practice Workshops'. These are sessions designed to support colleagues and partners in the development of employer-responsive learning.
The Employer Based Training Accreditation (EBTA) session was facilitated by Ken Phillips and David Williams who work on the EBTA scheme with FDF (formerly Foundation Degree Forward). It explored the idea of accreditation of in-company training and considered the benefits and issues.
The event was attended by around 20 delegates from a range of University schools and services and from West Yorkshire Lifelong Learning Network partner institutions.
