The University of Bradford is participating in the new National Scholarship Programme (NSP) and will provide 228 scholarships for 2012.
The programme is designed to help people from low income families wanting to access Higher Education in England. The scholarships are jointly funded by the Government and the University.
The majority of students do not need to make a direct application for a National Scholarship. You will be automatically assessed as long as you apply for government support through Student Finance England before the advertised deadline.
We may ask you to provide additional documentation to confirm your eligibility.

If we still have more than 228 students after applying the above criteria we will then take into account academic achievement and award the scholarship to highest achieving eligible students on each course.

**We will identify students who live in these areas
A £3,000 fee waiver in year one of your course. Students who receive the NSP in their first year will also have their placement year fees waived if they are on a Sandwich course.
We will automatically identify eligible students as far as we are able to using data from UCAS and Student Finance England. To ensure you are considered for the NSP you must consent to share your information with us when you are assessed for your loans and grants.
We will inform you by letter if you are eligible to receive an NSP award.
