Interactive installation by artist Yan Wang, Wishing Tree, will encourage visitors to make “leaves” for the trees that describe and illustrate their wishes, hopes and desires.
1,000 Gnomes Project by Strawhouse, encourages people to sponsor and make gnomes. The Gallery will display the gnomes before they are sent off by their makers into the wider world!
Will be making connections with Andy Abbot’s music programme:
February – Folk Narratives
This event aims to revisit and expand this vein of storytelling in music from the traditional to the contemporary, the lyrical to the instrumental. French duo Vialka will perform a specially selected set that including traditional French folk songs, there will be voice-only renditions of English and Scottish ballads, anti-folk from Bradfordian Captain Hotknives and Garfunkle and Simon, and Glaswegian R M Hibbert whose between-song banter with the audience is integral to his acoustic guitar performances.
We want you to join in!
