Ways of Working with Us
Our
Regional Business Partnerships Centre
are always ready to talk to you about your business
needs and recommend an appropriate way forward for engaging with us. These are
some of the options open to you:
- Knowledge Transfer
Partnership - a national initiative partially subsidised (up to 67%
government contribution) which places a recently qualified graduate in your
company to undertake strategically important work for between 12 and 36 months.
- Sponsored research -
for when you would like an academic
to carry out research on your behalf and you have funds to support it
(either in full or part). Research
grants or government funding may be available to support this work, see
Funding Support
- Consultancy - most
appropriate for engaging an academic on a short-term assignment, for
short-term strategic advice or for training and development support.
- Placements/Internships
- affordable student employment
(usually over the Summer period) used for short and distinct projects of
between 4 and 15 weeks.
- Student and graduate
employment - use our busy Careers Service to advertise your vacancy.
- Do your own research - hire our facilities to carry out research for yourself
- Intellectual Property support
