About the Scholarship and Hardship fund

In 2008-09, the University invested £200,000 in a range of new scholarships for students, but we need your help to increase this still further, to ensure that a Bradford education is open to anyone with talent, regardless of financial situation or background.

Our Hardship Fund provides emergency financial support for our students to continue with their studies if they are suffering hardship for reasons beyond their control.

"Financial assistance from the Braduate Fund, meant that i could literally survive over the summer vacation period. Without the help from the fund, my only other option was  to give up my studies in Criminal Justice, in order to become eligible for welfare state financial support.

"I am deeply grateful for the assistance i received. Whilst the fund is not meant to replace welfare benefit, it certainly highlights what kindness and generosity can do for a person. Thank you so much to the people who donate to the Braduate Fund. Your donations  today means that students in a desperate situation can 'live'  and continue their studies in order to contribute to a better brighter society tomorrow. Thank you."
