H11
was a research programme funded by the DTI National Measurement System and run by the IRC Polymer Engineering Group at the University of Bradford between January 2006 and March 2008. The aim of the project was to promote the use of process metrology within the UK polymer industry to enhance process understanding, efficiency and product quality.

Research was divided into tasks, by measurement technique:

Task 1: Process Spectroscopy
Task 2: Process Ultrasound
Task 3: Optical Imaging and Flow Visualisation
Task 4: Process Rheology
Task 5: Process Energy Monitoring
Task 6: Process Thermal Effects

All outputs from the project, including the final report and a review of in-process measurements for polymer processing can be downloaded from the secure area of this website (password required). A polymer industry Road Map for In-Process Measurements created during the course of the project in consultation with UK industry report can be downloaded here (.pdf format, 2,447KB).

If you require further information about the project or its deliverables please contact Dr. Adrian Kelly.
