Monthly Update - November 2010

The extension to the front of the existing Horton A building is now well underway and work is shortly due to start on the construction of the roof on this part of the building.

New windows are also being fitted to the existing Horton A building, as part of the preparation for its new look facade, whilst at the rear of the building, work is also taking place on the construction of the imaging suites. Much, much more is taking place inside the building to prepare for the School's move. Inside Horton A all the existing partition walls were removed during the demolition phase, creating a shell which could be modelled to the School's own specifications and needs.

The new ground floor partitions within the existing Horton building creating some of the practice simulation suites have now been completed, and office spaces are beginning to take shape, as partitioning to the existing building on the upper levels is put into place.

The project remains on schedule and main contractor ISG is organising a Topping Out Ceremony for late January 2011 to mark the successful completion of the highest element of the new building.
