Cathy Greenblat has been engaged in a cross-cultural photographic project on aging, dementia, and end of life care since 2002. She was awarded the John P. McGovern Annual Award for work on Family, Health and Human Values by the University of Houston in 2007. In addition to being Professor Emerita of Sociology at Rutgers University (New Brunswick, NJ), she is an Artist in Residence at the hospital network of Nice, France and a Visiting Research Fellow at the International Observatory on End of Life Care, Lancaster University, UK. Dr. Greenblat is the author of 14 books and more than 100 professional articles.
