Service User and Carer Involvement

All of our nursing programmes meet the requirements of recent NHS/Department of Health developments including the 2008 Darzi report. We are committed to embracing patient demand and change to provide high quality care which meets service user needs.

Service users and carers experience and knowledge of health and social care is a vital element in the training and education of health professional students in the School of Health Studies. We are currently working hard to increase the number of service users and carers who collaborate with us to develop the service user and carers' perspectives within all aspects of our programmes, including interviews and teaching.
