The Society of Radiographers is a professional organisation which represents more than 90 per cent of the diagnostic and therapeutic radiographers in the UK. It is responsible for their professional, educational, public and workplace interests. Founded in 1920, it is also one of the oldest and most experienced radiography organisations in the world.

The Royal College of Radiologists seeks to advance the science and practice of clinical radiology and clinical oncology, through training,education and research. 

Part of the Centre for Radiation, Chemical and Environmental Hazards, this Division carries out the Health Protection Agency¿s work on ionising and non-ionising radiations. It undertakes research to advance knowledge about protection from the risks of these radiations; provides laboratory and technical services; runs training courses; provides expert information and has a significant advisory role in the United Kingdom.
