Honorary Degrees
Proposals for the conferment of Honorary Degrees are considered by a joint Committee of Senate and Council which normally meets in September/October and June each year.
All members of staff and students are invited to consider putting forward nominations for such awards. Anyone interested in submitting a proposal may find it helpful, in the first instance, to discuss the matter in confidence with Jane Hall, The Hub (ext. 3045. Email: j.hall11@bradford.ac.uk).
A completed Honorary Graduand pro forma (see below) is required for each case put forward in addition to appropriate biographical details. It is expected that the supporting statement would reflect the University's policy on conferment of Honorary Degrees.
