Approval of the thesis title and sub-title

Not less than three months before the submission date the proposed title and sub-title of the thesis should be submitted to the Hub-SAS (Research) team for approval by Research Degrees Committee.  This applies to all research degrees.

The sub-title must be not more than 30 words and must include the words in full for any abbreviations used in the title.  Outside of  explaining abbreviations, it is not recommended to repeat the keywords already used in the title.  If no sub-title is required, please just state N/A when completing the Approval of Thesis Title Form.

Students must submit up to 10 Keywords for the purpose of indexing.  Please do not exceed the 10 word maximum.

The Approval of Thesis Title Form is available online: http://www.brad.ac.uk/hub/ResearchStudents/Forms/

Please note: you should retain the title approval letter you receive from SAS to ensure when you submit your thesis that the title, sub-title and keywords match.  Any discrepancies in this information will lead to delays in SAS sending out your thesis for examination and in you receiving your degree certificate.
