The HRX project aims to transform the way Human Resources services and support are provided, so that:

• we will dedicate more time to looking after staff and supporting managers
• we will reduce paper and increase electronic process
• you will have increased access to view and update your personal data through myview
• you will be able to apply for job vacancies online via e-recruitment
• our managers will be able to view and manage some processes and activities of their team through myteam

We ask you to "be willing to initiate and embrace change and be positive about change initiatives and the benefits that they will bring".

HR Strategy 2009-2014 promises:

to review the way we do things

• we've reviewed all our processes and procedures, reduced them in number and streamlined the administrative processes
• we will produce process maps so that processes can be easily understood and followed
• we're planning to reduce paper and increase electronic processes

to simplify and enable electronically all HR administrative transactions (e-HR)

• we've extended the use of myview (self serve) to enable staff to view payslips and update their personal details
• we've identified staff who do not currently use IT and who will need training to take advantage of e-HR
• we're planning to extend myview further so that:
  • staff can view and update their work patterns, book annual leave and other leave and record sickness absence 
  • managers can approve annual and other leave, view absence/leave for the whole team, shortlist online job applications and set and track objectives for performance review 
• we're planning to provide training and information sessions to enable all staff to use e-HR

to upgrade and redesign the HR Intranet

• we've redesigned and upgraded the HR intranet
• we sought your feedback on navigation, content and aesthetics
• we're planning to update the intranet in the light of your feedback
• we're planning to develop an improved Jobs site for internal and external job applicants linked to e-recruitment
• we're planning to link all the new process maps so that the revised processes can be easily understood and followed.

to provide HR guidance to Senior Management

• we're planning to create new roles of HR Business Partner who will support managers.
