HRX Goes Live!

Many of the new aspects of HRX went live on 1st October:

  • Myview - Other Absence - in addition to annual leave, other types of absence can be requested, authorised and recorded via Myview;
  • Myview - Performance Review (PDR) - this module enables the recording of objectives and behaviours as part of the Performance Review cycle;
  • Process Reviews - many of our processes have been streamlined and each will include a step by step Process Map;
  • HR and Occupational Health websites have been updated.

E-recruitment goes live - full details of the revised processes are on the Recruiment pages:

  • all applicants will apply for vacancies on line
  • recruiting managers will shortlist via Myview 
  • important changes to the recruitment processes will come into effect

We arranged a series of HRX Drop in sessions for further information and assistance during October.  Two further sessions have been arranged at the School of Management, detailed below.  Further sessions may be offered later if required.

HR Office (D36) opening times

From 4th October the HR Office, D36, will be open from 9-4 on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and from 10.30 to 4 on Tuesday.


Thankyou to our Chatty Volunteers!

As part of the HRX Project and the development of the HR Jobs website, we asked for volunteers to be interviewed and filmed talking about their role and what its like to work at the University.  The aim of the new jobs site is to promote the benefits of working at the University and to highlight the variety of roles.

A number of staff across a wide range of roles agreed to take part and we are currently coming into their workplace (garden, office, lab etc), asking about what they do and what they enjoy about working here; we are also making a video of the interview.  We'll then use some or all of the staff profiles on the website to promote living and working in Bradford.  If you would like to know more about this, please email Alexa Copley a.copley@bradford.ac.uk.



IT Training

Training is still underway to enable all staff to acquire the skills required to use self service HR.  So far this has been well received and many staff have already received their IT certificates.  Training will continue to be rolled out over the autumn. 


Time to book your next holiday?

All core staff are now booking annual leave via myview.  

Log in to myview, click on the link for holidays, scroll down to the bottom of the page to "Request Holiday" then make your selections. A User Guide, FAQs and a video demonstration are available on the myview page.

If you need help with booking your annual leave online with myview, or with authorising annual leave via myteam for the staff that you manage you can:

Check your payslip and personal details

As well as checking your payslip online, you can view and check your personal details such as address, phone number, contact details, relationships (next of kin) and update some of the (permitted)  fields yourself,  if necessary.  Any changes will feed directly into Resourcelink and you will receive an automatically generated email to confirm the changes.
