Attendance and Engagement
As part of your Tier 4 responsibilities you are required to attend and progress on your course of study, if you fail to attend your course and fail to meet the requirements as set out in the University of Bradford's Attendance and Monitoring Policy, this may affect your registration at the University, which in turn will affect your Tier 4 visa. If your attendance and lack of progression results in you being withdrawn from your course, then as your Tier 4 sponsor we may be required to make a report to the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) removing your Tier 4 sponsorship and leading to your Tier 4 visa being cancelled.
Further details regarding the University of Bradford Monitoring and Attendance policy can be found at Timetabling and Attendance
Postgraduate Taught Students Summer Requirements
Postgraduate Taught Students (PGT) who have completed the taught element of their course and only have their dissertation to undertake over the summer are still required to be in attendance at the University and this should not be seen as part of the summer vacation. You will still required to maintain monthly engagement with your supervisor / tutor and a record of this must be kept by the faculty on the academic progress made.
Completing your dissertation from home
If the faculty permits you to complete your dissertation from your home country, then the University is required to make a report to the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) that you will be completing your studies from home and this will result in the removal of the Tier 4 sponsorship and curtailment of the Tier 4 visa.
