- National
Statistics - The site for the UK's official statistics, it includes
information on the economy, population, and society.
- Census - Survey of the
British population, covering employment, ethnicity, family, health,
and housing.
- Regional
Trends - Annual release providing demographic, social, industrial
and economic statistics for the regions. There are profiles of each
region, including Yorkshire and the Humber.
- Social
Trends - A collection of social and economic data from various government
departments and organisations designed to provide an illustration of
current British society and chart its development.

Neighbourhood Statistics - Use this site to search for statistics
by area down to postcode level. Local summaries provide details on a
range topics including crime, education, health, and population.
- Budget - Most recent budget and archive of earler budgets, outlining the Government's economic and financial
strategy and reviewing the performance and prospects of the economy.

U.K. National Accounts (The Blue Book) - The principal publication
for national accounts statistics providing detailed estimates of national
product, income and expenditure for the U.K.

U.K. Balance of Payments (The Pink Book) - The basic reference book
for balance of payments statistics, with information on visible trade,
invisibles, investment and other capital transactions.
Criminal
Statistics England and Wales - These statistics relate to criminal
offences recorded by the 43 police forces in England and Wales and to
offenders dealt with by formal police cautions or criminal court proceedings
in these police force areas.

Earnings Survey - An annual sample survey of the earnings of employees
in Britain. Offers analyses by age, collective agreement, industry, occupation,
and region.
Digest of United
Kingdom Energy Statistics - Contains tables, commentary, and charts
of U.K. energy production and consumption. There are sections dealing
with the productions and consumption of individual fuels, oil and gas
reserves, fuel prices, and foreign trade in fuels.

Brief Guide to Gender Statistics - Details where the main sources
of UK gender related statistical information can be found.

Spending - Random samples of private households in the UK. Shows,
in detail, income and expenditure by type of household, some regional
analyses are also included.

in Britain (Results from the General Household Survey) - A continuous
survey based on a sample of those resident in private households in
Great Britain. Includes questions on population and fertility, housing,
health, employment and education.

- The EU Statistical Office. It is possible to view structural, long,
and short term indicators free of charge as well as the online version
of Statistics in Focus which provides information on key statistical
surveys.
- France,
INSEE - Statistics on the economy and society from the French Statistical
Office. The page can be viewed in French or English, but not all pages
are available in English.
- Germany,
Federal Statistical Office - Wide range of data including economic
indicators, and statistics on various topics including: Construction
and Housing, Finance and Taxes, Geography, Trade, and Wages. Available
in German and English.
- Spain,
INE - Information on a range of subjects including employment, population,
and industry. You can also access the 2001 Spanish Census, the monthly
statistical bulletin, and Spain in Figures 2002. Available in Spanish
and English.
Directorate
General for Economic and Financial Affairs, Publications - Offers
access to reports, studies and analyses. The publications are grouped
into four series by topic: European Economy, Economic Papers, Enlargement
Papers, and Occasional Papers.
European Industrial Relations
Observatory on-line (EIRO) - Collects, analyses, and publishes information
on major developments in European industrial relations. Use the comparative
information link to view annual reviews, comparative studies, and EIRO
reports.
