Bradford Chemical Society was formed in 1945. Most of its members were chemists working in industry. The Society met in rooms at Bradford Technical College; Dr. W.R. Moore of the College's Chemistry Department was its secretary. It offered a programme of lectures and visits. Among its objects were "to place on record the transactions of the Society, lectures read before the Society, and communications from members of the Society ...". These transactions were first published in 1948. The collection, covering 1948-1957, consists of five volumes of duplicated typescript.
