The Craig Medical Peace Movements Archive

This collection reflects the involvement of Kevin and Pat Craig with various groups of medical professionals working for peace. These organisations include the Medical Association for the Prevention of War, the Medical Campaign Against Nuclear Weapons, International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War and Medical Action for Global Security (Medact). The archive contains a wide range of papers and covers the period from 1964 to 1997.

• Special Collections holds Commonweal Archives and many other collections relating to peace campaigns, including the Archive of the Medical Association for the Prevention of War.
• Medact (Medical Action for Global Security) is a "health professionals' organisation challenging barriers to health", such as violent conflict and poverty. It was formed in 1992 by a merger of the Medical Campaign Against Nuclear Weapons and Medical Association for the Prevention of War.
• International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War is a "non-partisan global federation of medical organizations dedicated to research, education, and advocacy relevant to the prevention of nuclear war".
