A Career in Medical Sciences

Watch Biomedical Science graduate Elliot Greenwood describe his time at the University of Bradford.

Biomedical Science

Biomedical sciences involves the study of human disease including:

  • The causes of disease
  • The effects of disease on the cells and tissues of the body
  • The methods used to diagnose disease and current strategies for disease prevention and treatment

If you enjoy the biological sciences and are interested in their practical application, particularly in health care and related research, a career in biomedical sciences could be just what you are looking for.

Studying biomedical sciences offers you a wide variety of job opportunities including a laboratory-based career or a scientific non-laboratory career.

Clinical Sciences

Our clinical science courses combine science and health studies, which underpin the medicine and healthcare professions.

At Bradford, our focus is on providing high-quality, multidisciplinary courses that provide the skills required by ‘Tomorrow’s Doctors’ and other healthcare professionals.

Career options include further study in medicine, a career in the NHS or the pharmaceutical industry.
