Continuing Professional Development

The school is keen to continue to engage with Alumni and their continuing professional development. We aim to do this in several ways

Managing your Career

Alumni are welcome to take part in any of the activities organised by the Careers Team at the school. You are welcome to attend any of our career-development workshops or to discuss any career issues with Lorraine Lucas, Career and Alumni Manager

These discussions can be face to face, via email or over the telephone, email careers.mgt@bradford.ac.uk for further details

You are also welcome to attend any guest speaker sessions

Developing your skills

Alumni are welcome to attend MBA skills workshops, if places are available (see details of workshops for the current semester). Please follow the directions given for registration and only register if you are making a commitment to attend. Workshops may be cancelled if there is insufficient support; please check with the administrator before attending an event.

Updating your knowledge UPDATE for 2012

MBA Electives for Alumni

We are delighted to be able to offer alumni the opportunity to attend MBA block electives. Block Electives allow MBA alumni to update/refresh their learning from the MBA and will present them opportunities to develop their understanding in areas that they did not consider in their original MBA. NOTE: This offer does not include any of the electives offered outside of the UK.

This is also an opportunity for other alumni to extend/refresh their learning and undertake some continuing professional development. NOTE: Non MBA Alumni should fulfil the experience requirement and have at least three years experience post their Masters/Undergraduate degree.

All those who participate will have the chance to meet and network with current MBA students.

We also hope that current students will benefit from alumni involvement in the classroom, and faculty would welcome the opportunity to renew links with former students.

MBA Electives for Alumni will be charged at £600 per module which discounts the proportional cost of a module against the MBA fees, and compares favorably with the fee of £750 for a daylong event in the School's former Masterclass series. NOTE: Costs include all course materials but do not include travel or living costs (food or accommodation). Accommodation may be available at Heaton Mount, but it is the responsibility of delegates to arrange this themselves. To book accommodation at Heaton Mount please contact +44(0) 1274 23 44 85 or email clare.williams@sodexo.com We are pleased to offer Bradford University Alumni a 10% discount off room hire until September 2012 – please Quote ALU2011.
