The work of the members of the Centre covers the following areas.

The centre's research has been funded by various EU, UK and UN research and policy agencies. Funding has also been awarded by the Asian Investment Bank, ASEAN, Anglo-German Foundation for the Study of Industrial Society, and the British Academy.

Members' research has been published in high quality journals, including the China Economic Review, European Journal of Industrial Relations, International Business Review, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of World Business, Management International Review, Regional Studies, Transnational Corporations, World Economy, and World Development
