Entry Requirements

The University of Bradford is pleased to welcome applications from India. When you apply, we will consider your educational qualifications, your English Language level and, in some cases, your relevant work experience. Entry requirements will vary according to the course you are applying for, but we hope that the following information will be useful as a guide to our entry requirements.

Bachelor's/Undergraduate Study

Students must complete a recognised Foundation Programme after the Senior High School Graduation Certificate in order to be eligible to apply for a degree at a Bachelor's/undergraduate level. Please see Foundation Programmes, below.

Alternatively, students must have completed at least one year of university study at a reputable university in India at an approved level.

Foundation Year Programmes

Bradford provides a wide variety of course specific and English language Foundation Year Programmes, to enable you to enter the degree of your choice. These programmes may be suitable for students who have been out of education for a while or need a preparation/conversion year to gain entry to the bachelor degree of their choice.

Master's/Postgraduate Study

Bradford welcomes applicants for taught master's degrees from students with a good Indian university degree qualification.

MBA

Candidates for Bradford's renowned MBA course will need to demonstrate that they have had significant managerial experience. Our regulations specify a minimum of three years of post graduation work experience, but please note that the mere fact that you have worked for three years since your graduation does not necessarily mean you have the level of managerial experience we require. The average length of work experience successful applicants have is between five and six years. MBA applicants will also be required to take an on-line Bradford Admissions Test.

Research

Students with more advanced qualifications and a well-thought out research proposal can be considered for MPhil / PhD level study.

English Language Requirements

If your first language is not English, you will need to provide proof of your English language proficiency.

Please visit our dedicated English Language pages for a list of accepted English Language qualifications.

English Language Support

If you need help with your English or want to build your confidence before starting your main degree programme, you can study at Bradford in the summer for 6 or 10 weeks or even attend a full IELTS preparation programme. Please visit our Language Centre for further details.
