School of Management to host Harvard Business Publishing seminar for academics
Bradford University School of Management invites academics who want to fine-tune their approach to participant-centred learning to a Harvard Business Review seminar on the art and craft of discussion leadership on 27 April 2012.
The seminar, part of the Harvard Business Publishing series, gives academics at all levels the opportunity to experience participant-centred learning from both an instructor and student perspective. They will learn techniques for orchestrating classroom discussion, blackboard management and discussion plan preparation.
Bradford University School of Management is the only institution in the UK, apart from the University of Glasgow, to host the seminar. Others in the series will take place in India, Boston, Milan and elsewhere around the world.
Dr David Spicer, Senior Lecturer in Organisational Change at Bradford University School of Management, said: "The seminar will be a fantastic opportunity for academics to enhance their teaching through the ‘Harvard method’ using the medium of cases to establish and reshape the learning contract."
There are 10 spaces available for University of Bradford staff. If you are interested, please contact your head of group. Others who are interested can register here http://hbsp.harvard.edu/product/pcl-moreinfo
