RDI are responsible for the initial stages of student application and admission onto the Bradford Distance- learning MBA in some territories, namely Europe, Russia and CIS states, USA, Canada, the Caribbean (excluding Trinidad), Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Uganda and Mauritius.
You may apply for the distance learning MBA either online or by completing a paper based application form. All applications are considered as they are presented and so it is advisable to apply as soon as possible. Applications from the above listed territories will be forwarded to RDI for them to help you with your application.

Entry Requirements

  • A degree from an approved university: UK degree minimum 2:2 (honours); European degree gross percentile average (GPA) of 2.5 out of 4.0 or 6.5 out of 10, or overall average of 70 from 100 per cent or an acceptable professional qualification.
  • GMAT of 600+. If you do not have this please contact us to discuss alternative arrangements
  • At least three years' relevant postgraduate work experience.
  • Proficiency in English - a 6.5 score on IELTS test of English, 580 in written TOEFL, 240 in computer-based TOEFL or 94 or better in the internet-based TOEFL are needed from non-native speakers. Under exceptional circumstances alternative evidence demonstrating proficiency in English will be accepted.
  • Once you have been accepted onto the programme and have started your studies you will be required to complete a a short on line exercise to help assess critical thinking and numerical reasoning (the Bradford Test). Applicants with a GMAT of 600+ attained in the last two years do not have to take the Bradford Test.
  • It may be the case that you are a highly motivated applicant with a proven track record and a wealth of highly relevant work experience but you do not have the required academic qualifications. If this is the case you may well still be eligible for the MBA and as such you are encouraged to proceed with your application

Application process

The application process can be broken down into a number of simple stages.

  • A student submits a formal application to RDI with the required documentation (i.e. qualification certificates, completed application form). All applications are screened at this stage and suitable applications are forwarded to the School of Management
  • The School of Management admissions team assess each application on an individual basis looking at academic qualifications, work experience and if English is not your first language, proof of English ability. Following on from this the team make a decision on an applicant¿s suitability.
  • If an applicant is accepted onto the programme a student file is created and a letter is sent to the student informing them that they have been accepted onto the programme.
  • If the applicant subsequently confirms a place on the MBA programme the School of Management postgraduate team writes to the student outlining all the essential information they need to start studying for the MBA.

Length of time to process an application

Once our partners RDI, have passed on all the relevant information AND provided that the complete application does not raise unexpected issues of interpretation, we can expect to confirm a decision within a working day, or two in periods of our peak activity. Applications that are either incomplete or raise unexpected issues are usually delayed whilst the applicant provides further details;. Once completed, these applications may take up to three working days to resolve. Once a decision has been agreed to make the offer (usually an unconditional offer), the relevant offer document is sent out at the next opportunity (usually the next working day).

Module credit transfers

Our University encourages the recognition of transfer credit but our accrediting bodies do not always employ the same criteria. It is therefore in the best interests of a candidate with possible transfer credit to make careful enquiry before submitting an application. The judgement of how much credit to accept depends upon a detailed comparison of syllabus/programme specification materials, as well as level of attainment. It is difficult to predict how long such an evaluation may take because individual circumstances vary.
