Marketing and communications tools & guidelines

Just like the rest of the University, the Marketing and Communications Department has been looking at how we can do more for less - and how we can do it better. We have also been reviewing how we work and looking at areas where unnecessary barriers were stopping staff achieving what they needed in the available timescales.

As a result of these factors, we have been working hard to provide new tools and guidelines which allow marketing and communications to be done in a more efficient way, and to allow staff to operate some elements 'self-service'.

Some of these tools are still in development, such as an exciting University image library and a directory for experts aimed at getting more media coverage and more business partnerships and additional revenue streams.

Those that are completed you will find in this section, and include information on how to use photographers, guidance on placing adverts, and a press release template which shows you step-by-step how to write your own press release.
