Tasmin Little Music Centre (TLMC) brings Bradford together through music. The centre links community music making and participation with opportunities to experience diverse and high quality performance events. Based at the University of Bradford, TLMC operates as a musical hub offering opportunities to listen, create and perform. In addition, we are also privileged to programme work in a range of exciting venues across the city.
This season we present a showcase of Pakistani, Polish and Eastern European music from communities who have made the city their home for over 60 years. The first stage of this journey of musical exploration takes in Qawwali Singing, new currents in Asian Pop, the delicate and moving piano compositions of Fryderyk Chopin and a rare opportunity to discover the polyphonic (multi-layered) melodies of Georgian Monastic songs and folk music.
Come and dip into the musical heritage of the region; hear something unique and unusual, be inspired and ever changed.
