Our Play Areas / Facilities
Here at the University of Bradford Nursery we have three units which provide for early educational care to children from the age of three months to five years. Each unit provides age appropriate activities and resources to support the learning and development outcomes of all our individual children.
We support the children to achieve positive outcomes alongside the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundations Stage and endeavour to meet their individual targets and watch them thrive.
We are situated within easy reach of the University of Bradford City Campus and we are around a 10 minute walk from Bradford town centre. Although we are located in an inner-city area we are based in a picturesque area which is off of the main road and surrounded by trees, grass and even a lake area.
We are very lucky as we have four outside play areas, two of which are large grassed areas and one a large soft play area all of which are accessible straight from our units.
We try to be as flexible as possible and will help parent/carers wherever we can. We have recently began offering flexi-care sessions which developed from our recent parent/carer forum meeting.
We also run a Summer Club which is run for 5 weeks through the summer holidays this is to accommodate up to 16 children ages 4 years to 12 years.
We offer Stay and Play sessions these take place on Tuesday mornings 10:00am - 11.30am and Thursday afternoon’s 2:00pm – 3:30pm term time only. These sessions are an opportunity for parent/cares, children and family members to get involved with nursery life, to interact and learn new ideas.
Our nursery offers 15 hours free early educational care to 2, 3 and 4 year old children through the Early Education Funding (EEF). We are again as flexible as possible with these free hours and we will try and meet your individual preferences (link to EEF in admissions and funding opening page)
