The School of Optometry and Vision Science (BSOVS) is dedicated to utilizing its expertise and state-of-the-art facilities to provide pioneering solutions for the eye care profession, industry and public bodies.
One of our particular strengths is the multidisciplinary nature of the BSOVS team, bringing together expertise in physiology, psychology, visual perception and computation, in addition to optics and clinical optometry. This allows us to address the challenges brought to us from across a wide range of sectors.
We work with organisations in healthcare, instrumentation, manufacturing as well as various public bodies to create bespoke solutions. External partners include the NHS, HM Prison Service, Vicon, Novartis and the Department for Transport.
We are also committed to providing high quality specialist and general optometric clinical services to meet the needs of both private and NHS patients in the region.
