Here's what some of our career progression graduates say about the course

The Optometry Dream...

"Being accepted onto the Career Progression Course at Bradford was just the start to my journey of becoming a fully qualified Optometrist aspiring to practice in Australia one day.

I remember before I put my application in to do the CP course I spent ages weighing up the pros and cons - even speaking to other students who had just completed the first course and pre-reg year. I got the same advice as I find myself giving now. Its lots of hard work but you'll never regret it.

My time at Bradford is filled with some of my most fond memories. We were fortunate to have a fantastic bond in our group, not just amongst ourselves but also with fellow classmates. This built up to great support for study sessions and of course many a pleasant social evening. However the support from the lecturers, tutors, PhD students and all involved in the Optometry team at Bradford was unrelenting and always eagerly met. No question seemed too small or silly to ask.

Qualifying as an Optometrist (after being in optics over 10 years) was not only one of the proudest moments in my life's achievements, but to have my parents as witnesses on Graduation day was truly overwhelming.

Since leaving Bradford and completing the necessary pre-reg year I immediately started working towards getting my Australian Optometry qualification through the OCANZ exams - not for the faint hearted. kathy2

I am pleased to say that I successfully completed these exams and now ready to make the move 'down under'.

My motto - Visions are not just in Dreams."
