Cryptography is vital to many aspects of modern life, such as ecommerce, using mobile devices, and safeguarding our information on social media. The aims of this module are to gain an advanced understanding of the mathematical principles underlying cryptography; to be able to apply widely researched cryptographic techniques to securing network applications; to gain insight into further cryptographic primitives and protocols for information security, as well as some advanced cryptanalysis techniques.
